windscreen heater switch Sign In

I Folks we have a 2007 1250cc ford fiesta with 6000 miles on the clock this morning I pressed on the windscreen heater switch & it is stuck in & on the only way I can turn it off is to turn the engine off & then restart the car but the switch is still stuck in. Any ideas & any help would be well appreciated, Thank You

To clarify - are we talking about an electric "defroster" with the wires on glass? They are near always on a timer that will be a pill to find but should make a click when put on. Bet is timer needs replacing - finding it will be the issue. Near certain they don't sell those cars where I am so I'm at a loss. Others may know where to look as a couple techs here are from places that may sell that car,

anouther thing it could be that i have ran into (not on that car but in outhers) is is the switch stuck inplace like a stuck key on a keyboard. you should chekc to make shure that that is not a factor. i do beleave that there is a relay that controls it also ou might want to check out if it is stuck on.
