We have a 98 Ford150, 4x4, 4.6 with 120,000 miles. One morning went out to start and it just clicked. We have replaced the starter, starter relay, battery and now the new cables and wiring for both positive and negative from the battery to the starter and relay. We still have a click. What else could it be?

Is the click coming from the starter itself?
Is the truck equipped with Remote anti theft personality Module?

Yes the click is coming from the starter itself and yes it has an Remote anti theft personality Module.

If the noise is coming from the starter itself, the everything is the circuit is working fine. You can only have either a bad starter or cable connection to it, assuming the engine itself is not locked up for some reason. You can put a socket on the crankshaft bolt to see it you can turn it by hand.

It is a brand new starter and all the cables are brand new and the crankshaft does turn.

None of that matters is what you are telling me is correct. If the starter is clicking, then the triggering circuit has done it's job. You have a starter or power supply problem to the starter.

True as MG just said that new doesn't mean those items are good. Any regular here can only go by what is said. Seems that the starter is being triggered to "crank" the engine but just clicks which to me if a single click is an indication of a power delivery problem to the starter, bad starter or any connections or new parts that are no good.
Better IMO to test out parts rather than toss them all. Oddly as you would think, some original stuff will outlast some new junky parts now too common out there.
When you get this "click" at the starter do you lose all electrical power? If so that suggests a really poor connection even ones that look clean and tight enough. That can be checked for where it drops out beginning at the battery and on thru with basic voltage drop tests,

What you should do is try jumping out the starter right from the starter. If you can't make it crank that way. it proves our point. You can get a helper to hold the key while you tug and pull on the cables watching for a reaction.
