1992 chev s10 blazer Sign In

i have 4.3 s10 blazer when i start in morning it shakes runs rough and pops in muffler after i drive 6 miles and shut off at work i go back 2 hrs later start up it is smooth and no problems for rest of day did get ox sensor code any other ideas thanks for any help.

The older OBD1 systems would pull O2 codes when you misfire alot. May be nothing wrong with sensor at all. Start with the basics, checking your cap and rotor, plugs, wires, air filter and fuel filter. Could be as simple as a tune up, may need more. But thats the starting point.

thanks it does act up more in wet weather.

I would look very closely at a crack in the distributor cap or bad wires. A full tuneup if you do it yourself isn't expensive at all and can most likely cure what ails the vehicle. Especially when it is bad in damp weather your first suspect should be the ignition components.

i checked cap rotor wires and plugs no problems not that old it only runs bad first start in morning for about 5 miles then shut off and restarted in couple hrs it runs fine for rest of day?
