2000 BMW 540I Code P1475

This BMW 540i V8 with 122,000 miles set P1475 a few weeks back. The book says it is the "Leak Diagnosis Pump". What the heck is that and where is it on the car?

It's usually called a "leak detection pump". It's used to pressurize the fuel tank system to self test it for EVAP leaks. It's in the left rear wheel well
