Have a couple of issues: 1. First, the codes (went to Auto Zone): P0453--Evap Emission P0500--Speed Sensor Can these be easily fixed at home, or can any 'ol mechanic fix these, OR is it dealer time? Any clue as to cost? 2. Monday, my sunroof broke and won't close... probably off track? Where to fix this...???? as above, any 'ol mechanic or dealer? Any clue as to cost? 3. My entire dash set up is dead (no rpm, no speed, no temp, no fuel gauge, no odomotoer, no range etc.). Appears tied to the speed sensor? Also, the trac light and engine lights are ON. This ALL happened simultaneously while backing out of the driveway, of all things. Help! Inexpensive is good. Thank you SO much to anyone that can give advice on this. I haven't a clue, and don't have much money, either.

Forgot to state it is a 4.7L engine. We checked every fuse we could find under the dash and under the hood. Couldn't find ANYTHING apparently wrong, fuse-wise to explain the dark dash.

well part of that could be linked to your speed sensor which isn't that bad to fix but before you go spending money replacing that I would suspect maybe your ECM or wiring issues.

the EVAP EMISSION code could be just as simple as your gas cap not getting a good seal against the filler neck. try a new cap they arent expensive. the speed sensor is a sensor mounted either on the tailshaft of your transmission or ive seen some on the differential housing. just unplug and replace. the TRAC light is probably more then likely related to the bad speed sensor. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
