I wrote awhile back about cooling fan troubles.Well that problem is fixed and another came up.When going for a test drive I was going back to shop and I heard a pop. Then I lost power.I hooked up the scan tool and got a 2262 code saying there was no turbo boost. The rig is a 2006 E 450 with 117000 miles on her. This is a 6.0 engine.Could I have lost a turbo.Rig will go but takes some time to get there.Could it be a sensor not turning on the turbo. What should I start with ?Thanks

First thing is to inspect your charge air cooling system for leaks. The where the piping connects are blue silicone hoses and they can and do fail. You get a big pop noise, and it sounds like a whooshing when you hit the gas as all your boost is blowing out instead of going into the engine. Truck will have no balls when this happens. Make sure you haven't actually blown the turbo or you will be shooting shrapnel and oil through your intake and will be doing a new engine instead of just a turbo. If in doubt, get a wrecker to you. Better than blowing a pricey engine that is a major PITA to change out.
