2010 Hyundai Santa Fe check engine light

I have a 2010 hyundai santa fe 3.5L V6 AWD Automatic with 100000 miles, and it's got a check engine light, giving the code p0014. Initially the code was telling me to replace the vvt solenoid I had that replaced by a crappy mechanic and now the car is giving me a "p0014 camshaft position - timing over advanced or system performance bank 1". The vehicle runs and drives excellent, however it's idle is slightly rough nothing crazy though. Should I be worried about this code? What could be the problem? I have a feeling the mechanic that replaced my vvt solenoid screwed something up. I went back to the same mechanic but he didn't know what the problem was, so I didn't even bother with him, he knows nothing about cars.

No, the code did not tell you to replace the VVT solenoid. Codes never tell you to replace anything. They merely give you specific information to assist in diagnosis of the problem.
The code is telling you that the timing is wrong on the "B" camshaft of bank 1. This could be due to any number of things like jumped timing belt, stuck phaser or bad oil pressure.
If you have been lax on the oil changes or run the oil low, the first thing I would do is change the oil and filter. This whole system operates on oil pressure.
Beyond that, this is way over your pay grade. The diagnostics involve oscilloscopes and wave patterns.

Oil changes are always done on time and I regularly check my oil level and it's never been low. This code only came up after I had my vvt solenoid replaced. Also the car has a timing chain not a timing belt. Would a stuck phaser or bad oil pressure effect the way the car drives? Cause it's performance has not dipped one bit.

The way I understood your question you had the same code before and after the repair so the repair changed nothing.
There is a problem with the engine, you just aren't noticing it. That's why the computer is programmed to see those things.

I don't know what exactly the code was before but after replacing the vvt solenoid, that code was gone. The car had no codes for one day then it started to show the p0014 code. I took it to the Hyundai dealer and they diagnosed it for me, but wanted $800 to fix it which I wasn't willing to pay. I have the invoice they gave me if you would like to see it.

I don't know what you expect from us. You're trying to blame the mechanic for a problem that you already had and I've already told you what needs to happen from here to find your current problem.
You say you had him replace a VVT solenoid but since you don't know the original code number, we don't know if you even changed the right one. There are four of them.
