Add Coolant Light Sign In

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. The "Add Coolant" light keeps coming on but when I try to add coolant it will not take any. Could this light mean something else?

Re: Add Coolant Light Sign In

most likely the low coolant sensor is bad and keeping the light on when the coolant isn't low. If its something that gets too annoying try unplugging the sensor and see if the light goes off. If so, you know the sensor is bad. The sensor is located in the right side tank of the radiator a couple inches from the top.
