Can't Cure O2 Code

1997 Chevy Venture, 3.5L, 253000 miles. Sorry, I don't have the code #'s but may not need them. First code shows trailing O2 sensor heater open. I replaced it and the code changed to trailing sensor out of tolerance. Replaced it again with a Bosch and same code. Engine runs little rich, but smooth. Catalytic converter bad? Thanks,

Code numbers dictate very specific situations so we need that code number to help you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

A '97 w 250,000 miles this is open book IMO. Check wires to those other work along the way may be damaged, burnt thru insulation or holding them out of harm's way failed. The more you delay fixing that the more likely it will take out converter if not damaged now at least not operational? Tom

As already stated get those codes pulled. Also grab a test light and check all the fuses in both boxes. If the fuse for the O2 heater is blown, that Will set a code
