No,no,no,........ Don't even try any of that nonsense. You have bad Catalytic Converters and they are going to have to be replaced. I believe both converters are built into one pipe on that car and that's what your going to have to do. They sell aftermarket replacements that are considerably less than OEM that can be purchased through exhaust shops. Even after you replace them and reset the codes, it's going to have to be driven around a while for the computer to reset all the monitors before it will pass. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I've seen CATS last longer and still work but that's up there in miles. Most are killed by not tending to a problem quickly or sometimes rusty connections make it near impossible or really hack for that, T

I don't know how you went from the PO420 and PO430 to inoperative check engine light but someone may have removed the bulbs to put the light out. Your going to have to pull the dash cluster to check that.

Don't do that. You won't accomplish anything and erase all the diagnostic data. It won't pass inspection doing that because the monitors won't be ready.

Go ahead and reset it after than but it will have to be driven around for a while before it will be ready to inspect because it has to test everything before it resets the monitors.
