Hello, have a 98 Passport witha 3.2l and 107,000 mi. Have cleaned TB and all ports including EGR. Replaced IAC valve, unhooked TPS under PS resivoir. No codes. Sprayed carb cleaner in IAC port- idle came down, turned engine off and restarted- got the high idle again. Do I need to drive it and let the ECU relearn that or not? Only other thing would be Intake gasket that I can come up with, would I be correct? PLEASE HELP! unhooked neg. battery cable for 5 min. Idles perfect. Cant figure it out

The engine is finding unmetered air from somewhere. I would suggest a smoke test to find all the air leaks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
