Code P0401 EGR insufficient flow detected..

I just replaced the EGR vavle and i am still getting this code after about 10 miles of driving after resetting the code... Any ideas where to go from here??

The code means low flow of the EGR system. Try activating the EGR at idle and see if the engine chokes out. If not, see if the passage is plugged up.

First look at freeze frame then with your scanner activate the EGR - the eng should run rough or stall, yes no?

The EGR valve solenoid is power side switched. You can power the valve on the dark blue/violet wire with the engine idling. That should open the valve and cause the engine to run rough or stall.

Just a tip:

Our shop has been having a lot of problems with the aftermarket EGR valves for Chryslers. EGR valves and O2 sensors are things that should be bought from the dealer, so you don't run into problems.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
