Recently my car started running really rough and barely has any power to reach 40 mph without literally pushing the pedal all the way down. Sometimes it refuses to start. I reset the computer by disconnecting the battery cables and lay them on top of each other. that usually starts it back up within 30 minutes but it drives like it's dragging a ton of weight and sounds like a boat engine instead of a car.! Also everything under the hood feels abnormally hot to the touch after driving. The dash light is an outline of a car with a key in it. Please help if you can, any input is appreciated. I'm currently unemployed so I will attempt to fix it on my own. Thank you!
