Hello, i dont run a garage but theres never too many days in a row im not working on one. I work on anyhting from my 2009 lexus is250 to my 2008 gmc sierra 2500 hd, to a 2008 mini cooper to many others, Is there an affordable reader/scanner that will read stored codes on all these plus most others. Also will it have live data and the ability to delet codes And lastly and this is probably the deal breaker is there one that does all this and resets abs and resets airbag codes too? If not your suggetion to get me as close to the one im looking for would be appreciated. I work with some slavage vehicles that have had airbags go off, im aware i have to send the box away to get reset but im intrested in the sored codes in the vehicles computer. If they made a unit like this that would hook to a laptop that would be awesome. thanks for your help

I guess that depends on your definition of affordable. If you want airbag and ABS capability, you're up in the $4000 range. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

There are some serious limitations on what some of those are capable of. Very limited years and no imports on the OTCone.
- Read, display, and erase ABS codes and definitions for most domestic vehicles (1996 - 2008)
- Read, display, and erase Airbag (SRS) codes and definitions for most domestic vehicles (1996 - 2008)
Autel MD802 only clears ABS and Airbag but doesn't read codes or data. Autel AL619 has no airbag capability Equus Innova 31703 96 and newer GM and Ford only ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I misread on the OTC. You should really contact the manufacture of those tools or any tool, if your interested, and talk to a sales rep to be sure your getting the right tool for what you need it for. Haven't played with the 802 yet. Our shop has the Maxidas 708 and I use a 310 as a quick code reader. I haven't had any trouble out of either of them. It sucks because Autel and Launch are China owned, but the Chinese are really trying hard to compete in the scan tool market and they are making some impressive scanners.
