2012 Lincoln Navigator, 5.4 engine, 100,000 miles. Driving down the highway this morning. All is good. The Check Engine light starts blinking and I feel a misfire. Codes read P0301 and P0351. (Cylinder 1) The coil reads 0.7 ohms. Same reading as another coil. Please help me with the next steps I should take in diagnosing this problem. Thank you very much! SteveK

The P0301 is popping probably because of the P0351 code. The P0351 code is a primary ignition coil circuit malfunction. Does the coil have power and control. Inspect the coil connector, terminals, wiring, and harness. Look for damage, corrosion, or other clues. If you see nothing during your visual, your going to need to get hold of a noid light, 12 volt test light, and/or DVOM to make circuit checks. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I swapped the coils from Cylinder 1 to Cylinder 5. The Code followed the swap. I just ordered a new coil. I will let you know if this ultimately fixes the problem. Thank you very much for your help. Steve

Smart way to diagnose the problem. Let us know if it's resolved so we can close this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
