well back again... have a 2001 Chevy 3500 express vortex 5.7 replaced the temp sensor to fix the starting issue. now it spitting out this code.P0117 temp sensor 1 circuit low. the starting issue was caused by a badly corroded connection at the temp sensor. replaced the sensor sprayed and cleaned the plug real good. it's telling temp sensor 1 is there more than one sensor and if so which one .. is # one

How do you figure that you have found and resolved your problem if you are still getting a temp sensor code? You still have a problem with that circuit that has to be found.

You might need to replace the connector. I believe they sell the pig tail and all you have to do is solder and heat shrink. The corrosion may have gotten up in the terminals where the are crimped to the wiring.

well considering the problem I started with is no longer happening . that being putting the gas peddle to the floor to get it to start. and now it starts with just a touch of the key and not touching the gas id say that problem is solved. yes I was considering changing the plug end. that was till the dealer told me they wanted 56.00 not counting tax. "give me a brake" tried local junk yard no good there. have a place that sells the pin sets I will just remove them from the plug and replace them and see what I get. it was my thought as well the corrosion that I can't see is restricting the voltage flow. oh and the parts are only 1.15 and it takes about the same amount of time.
