i have a 2007 dodge nitro 3.7. the engine light came on . took to autozone. test showed small vacuum leek.said it was probaly the gas cap.tighten gas cap drove couple days, light still on.should i just remove battery cable to clear light,or look for somethin else. tried spraying with wd 40 suggested by man from auto zone no good. the rubber on the cap looks good. when tighten 4 or 5 turns cap feels kind of loose. maybe bad cap? any way to test cap.thanks ,Frank

There are no codes that specify vacuum leaks and the gas cap can't cause one. We need the exact code number to be any help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
