A narrow band O2 sensor produces its own voltage and a wide band is powered by current from the engine computer. There is plenty of information on the internet about the different types of O2 sensors and their theory of operation. What matters is if it needs to be replaced. Here's an easy way to tell. If a professional driveability technician tells you it needs bo be replaced, it does and you should buy a factory sensor if you want the car to run right.
