throttle body blues Sign In

2006 Ford F250 s.d. 5.4 eng. with 127007 on the counter. the orig. problem was at times when stepping on the accel. pedal there was no response.you could restart and then get some action. i replaced the throttle body with a new one from ford. there was also a slight miss under load at times, figured that was a bad coil. no codes but i got it after someone else looked at it. i was told the eng. light had been on. after driving around the block the eng. light came on and the wrench light as well. po61B p0121 p0122 p2106 transmission acting up on decel. when coming to a stop. put the old t.b. on and the truck would hardley run. reistalled the new t.b. and still getting the same codes. i have installed a new coil on#5 after all that. read a tsb that the pcm needs programed. please help.

P2106 and P060B are both information codes. P0121 and P0122 are both related to the throttle position sensor A. Did you replace the throttle position sensor?

You need to monitor the TPS voltage for TP A and B with a scan tool. You can also do a voltage sweep test using a volt meter. Inspect the TPS connector for terminal tension problems and damaged wiring.
