1998 dodge B1500 van - full size 318 fuel injected motor automatic here are the codes the obd II gave us: PO545,PO505,PO320 weather conditions damp and rainy yesterday i went to start my van and after a few trys it started and seemed to run fine, today it would crank but not start , we checked the cap and rotor they were really crudded up so we changed them -nothing no change , next we checked for spark it has it at the cap and at the plugs, when we tried starting it sounded like it was back firing a low muffled blup blup type sound , we shot some starter fluid in it and it really back fired. after testing the crank position sensor with a multi meter it appears good no reading of resistance we even checked a new one at the store same readings. i checked all the fuses and the fuel relay fuse was popped this did nothing either and it didnt blow again, it appears the wires for the crank sensor run directly to the pcm with no plugs in between.i am starting a new job monday and fortunately it is close enough to ride the bike to work. Is it possible my pcm has given up the ghost? according to the auto parts store and the haynes book the codes are :po320 no crank reference signal at pcm,po545 exhaust gas low?- haynes didnt have this one,po505 idle air control motor circuits-haynes has no reference on how to test these.
