1981 Chevy c10 305 oil sending unit Sign In

My 1981 Chevy 305 gauges were all unhooked and rigged up all wrong when I bought it and I'm trying to put in a new sending unit but the problem is that I dont know where to find the plastic hose the oil travels through and I dont know how to hook said hose to the gauges in the truck. Please help!

Factory gauges don't use hoses.

? HT is right. Hose for truck's gauges were not used anymore by models 1981. Some vehicles did use actual oil pressure thru just like the tube on spray cans for oil. A whopping ONE in my life - what a freaking mess a broken one made of an interior!
Vacuum was used for assorted things may still be for something at least didn't or doesn't make a mess to an interior when it broke and sure does break,

The truck had some old after market gauges that didnt work and weren't in good shape at all. What kind of connector should hook up to the oil sending unit for factory gauges?

? I can't recall that dash NOT having gauges, truck, Suburban, Blazer or the GMC's name for Blazer. One unit then out whole did come apart if out whole.
Where are aftermarket gauges? below dash or moused inside where OE should be? Pushing the memory but think those round gauge could point needles upside down needed to nudge with fishing line type wire to put back usually stayed for years or didn't hear back that they didn't.
The question is how was aftermarket done those could be oil in tube? That went right to oil sender on back of this engine don't quote me but think a 3/16th plumbing threaded hole did require a special socket for new back in at least or bust the thing. Just maybe a plumber's drain wrench (name just a guess) had a "T" handle and curved tooth right angle plumber's type toothed wrench might work? Not many went bad unless physically broke just by chance I think.
I can't guess aftermarket what way it's installed.
If separate the OE one still there inoperable you won't like how brittle the plastic is good luck finding good used or hunt for whole cloned OE units. Trucks keep making odd stuff forever that would have been dealer only,

You should have a single wire sending unit. If I remember correctly, the wire may be green.
