Needs some further testing to be sure. This alternator if like that one has a regulator inside and whole unit could be tested. This exact one (70amp) the regulator was so pricey it's not worth do just that if found bad vs whole replacement. Battery and alternators go hand in hand and help each other. Always best when BOTH are good and if battery is tested as marginal do both at once. Simple voltage reading at battery with engine running now with a charged battery would be a good clue as to if the alternator is working at all. Many parts outlets test alternators and batteries as a courtesy but there are ways with minimal equipment to do that yourself too, T
