i have a 1989 gmc 3500 box truck with the 454 got it from a friend for free it sat for about 2 years i replaced the fuel pump and drove it home but it wont idle down i cant figure it out i cleaned the throttle body and it didnt work any suggestions

If it is idling really high, look down in the throttle body and see if you can see a small part of the intermediate gasket on the throttle body that has been sucked inside. This will cause a vacuum leak and the ECM is compensating with more fuel. More fuel and more air equals more rpm's. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
