Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on.

no disrespect. but i said the spark plugs are not firing. what does that have to do with the fuel injectors. they have no baring on the spark plugs. im thinking its coil or maybe problem in distributer.

He said check injector pulse because if you don't have it that's a fast way to narrow down why your don't have spark. There are posts locked to the top of the forum for people to read titled if it will crank and not start. I would suggest reading them.

You just proved how little you know and how much help you really need but unfortunately, I don't have time for people that expect me to justify everything. I'll just go help someone else instead.

What is interesting about TFI(thick film ignition) is that as long as you have power, ground, and a signal called PIP (Profile ignition pickup) from the stator in the distributor, you'll have spark. You could unplug the engine computer and still have spark while cranking the engine if the ignition module is good and you have a signal going to it from the stator.

Checking for injector pulse would tell you if you have a PIP signal from the stator going to the engine computer to fire the injectors. That same PIP signal goes to the ignition module.

That's a lot more typing than what should have been sufficient.

Your probably right, but hopefully the OP now kind of understands what the injectors have in common with the ignition system. They share the stator signal.
