I moved your question out of the title line and into the body of the question box where it belongs. You need to put a little more effort into your question so people can understand what's going on and what has been done to the vehicle previously. What exactly does "bumping the starter" mean? Are you hitting the starter with something? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I am sorry I was not explaining myself very well. By bumping starter I mean turning the key from on to start and back repeatedly. It will crank after a few times of doing this and runs fine. First time posting to this site and did not know correct procedure to do so. I will try to be more specific in details in the future. Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Fine - just a term not everyone would use for what you just explained. IMO and have witnesses that what you are doing is heating up a weak connection that finally when hot works or I should say chances are. Tons of crap happens to vehicles of all sorts over connections, batteries, cables and the integrity thereof. All must be ruled out and you have the symptoms if I now read you accurately. Note: This more common with GM sideposts cables at battery than many others, T

Hey - clarify what you are doing somehow. If it doesn't crank at all what would the point be of anything else? You must begin there or any testing will mess you up. What you call "bump" start to me and your re-description is multiple tries to engage starter which is a HUGE draw on the battery. If that has only a tiny connection anywhere from battery on to it, it would be hot right there with even the slightest inadequate connection such that the heat with the multiple tries finally is just enough to crank. It won't keep doing that for you, you need to find that weak link. Testing anything when it totally behaves is futile so test when it's NOT cranking. I'll guess you lack a lot of test equipment but advise if otherwise. You could simply look at an interior dome light that normally would be on while in "crank" mode, leave it on and watch it either dim drastically or even go out completely. If it goes out things like radio presets, clock and whatever will reset like you disconnected the battery without a memory saver. Did you even check the side post terminals? You have to peel back the cover and probably shocked at how bad they are unseen while in place. This is common when much newer than this is. If those are NOT assertively greased up periodically it's really not a maybe but when they will fail. Simple as that much if only to prove they are good. Then move on if that's not it. No cranking the testing is useless for something else, T
