First time here, so be easy with me....I have a 1995 gmc k-1500(5.0) 305 v-8, currently at 167,000 miles.Went out the other day to go to work, truck did not turn over?Process of elimantion, started with Battery, then moved to the starter, and just for a fluke had the alternator tested. All the above to no avail??Am I overlooking something?

What if anything (noises) happens when you try if battery is known good? Wiring connections are a problem with both battery cables - both ends of each - side post terminals can be junk even if tight and trigger wire at the starter, T

Quote: the truck will click once when the key is turned into the start position. ******************* That's an indicator of poor connections. Duh - not there but side posts are suspect at at battery if known good, T
