1996 1500 Chevy Truck

1996 Chevy truck 4.3 V6 no AC Truck starts and idles good but has no power. Changed distributor cap, rotor, coil, plugs no change or worse. checking with scanner the timing isn't advancing an its running at -29 degrees Help!!!!

It sounds like the cam timing is off.... Are you getting a P1345? If you are looking at a cam retard PID and it's -29°. With the truck running you need to move the dist and get that PID to zero degrees. Snap the throttle everytime you move the dist a bit so the PID will update.... It's also possible you may have a bad dist......They have a problem with the gears... What type of scanner are you using?
