1996 Chevy Silverado 5.7 Sign In

No crank/no start. I have replaced plugs,wires,cap & rotor. It will sometimes turn over but then just completely stop. Battery & starter are also new. I pulled the distributor and set the time. I'm lost at this point..any help would be appreciated!

You don't touch the distributor if an "R" code 5.7! I wouldn't run just for that but you said doesn't even crank? Is that problem #1 for now?
New battery and starter - fine. cables totally matter both end of each or you get nothing. Battery charged first new isn't!
You'll need to fix the timing but it has to be able to crank so get that first. If nothing happens and you can find full bat+ power and ground to the starter and engine block then "trigger" wire when requested to crank trace back it that's screwed up you touched it.
Have to get starter to react or this isn't going to continue on for timing not set by distributor at all,

Yep, ignition timing is non adjustable on that one. Turning the distributor affects the cam to crank sensor sync. It can only be set with the engine running and using a scan tool to see camshaft offset.

Got to get it cranking as Tom stated.
