My Mom's 1996 Olds Eighty Eight starts, runs a few seconds and then dies. It will re-start every time but then die again after a few seconds of running. The longest I can keep it running is maybe 15 seconds. Giving throttle will not keep it running, it dies just the same. I am sure it is not frozen fuel line or shot fuel pump. Any help would be fantastic!!!

At the point that it dies, you need to determine if it is lacking spark or fuel. Could even be a dirty/sticky IAC motor. Crank sensors, ignition control modules, fuel filters, and pumps are all common failures. So, need to do a little more diagnosing before replacing 'stuff'. Loren SW Washington
