OK, first off, if you have a K1500, it's not 2WD, it's 4WD

What exactly is the fuel pressure?

Found spec for "M" code engine on this............The Fuel System Pressure

60-66 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch)Vent the fuel tank vapors by loosening the fuel cap. Position the ignition switch and the A/C system in the off position. Install a fuel pressure gauge to the vehicles fuel pressure valve. Confirm that no leaks are present, and with the key on, engine off verify the PSI reading on the gauge.
********************It's VERY common for these and other not to run at all or well if below 58 PSI usually caused by running low on fuel or non OE fuel pumps used.
Check the pressure you'll find it hovering too low but just enough to run not to start.
Re-check pressure when running with higher voltage of running bet you see 55- maybe 60 within range to run but not well.
If so first call is plug at the pump is good then new OE pump if you follow pressure readings AND if it holds both. If you really want it to last target the fuel delivery of it and use OE GM parts strongly suggested at a much higher cost,

Tom, can't we just let him answer the question, especially if you're going to post the wrong spec.
AZ data is rarely correct.
