If the engine turns over for a second then the starter motor just stops you may want to check the condition of the battery first. I am a bit confused by It won't stay cranked. Cranking an engine refers to the starter motor turning the engine over. If the engine starts and stalls, it is a different problem. Can you post back with a better description of the problem?

IT IS RUNNING LIKE IS SUPPOSED TO. IT IS CRANKING AND RUNNING. THE MOTOR FIRES UP LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO, THEN IT JUST DIES LIKE IT LOSES FUEL. IT DOES NOT MAINTAIN. ONCE IT FIRES UP IT WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. WE CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTER, AND CHECKED BATTERY. IT HAS GOOD FUEL FLOW. MOTOR WILL NOT CONTINUE TO RUN AFTER STARTING. IT WILL RUN A FEW OF SECONDS AND DIE.
PLEASE EMAIL ASAP. THANK YOU FOR ALL AND ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE.

Start with installing a fuel pressure guage, a spark tester on one of the wires, and a noid light in one of the injector harnesses. Crank the engine over and see which system(s) is not working. Once we know what the engine is lacking, then we can start a diagnostic routine.

it might sound funny but i think you need some gas in your gas tank.

GAS TANK IS 1/2 FULL. THANKS, BUT THAT WAS A GOOD ANSWER - WE HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO OVERLOOK THE SMALLEST DETAIL. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE. IT WILL TURN OVER LIKE IT IS GOING TO CRANK BUT WILL NOT CRANK. IT IS GETTING FUEL AND IT IS FIRING. JUST WILL NOT CRANK COMPLETELY. ANY SUGGESTIONS.
THANKS
