1997 Cheverelet astro 4.3 or 4.1 liter vortec. I am atempting to remove the engine. all i have left to remove is the motor mounts. Is it possible to take engine out from top with a special hoist without taking the cradlle compleatly out

Yes ,if you remove grille ,a/c condenser and radiator . unbolt exhaust manifolds from eng and lay aside . remove intake manifold . Take a eng crane and chain low as poss to block . should come right out. Assuming you have done everything else , trans bell housing lower section,wiring etc...
