1999 Chey Tahoe won't start	Sign In

1999 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 engine with 161,000 miles. I just replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. The truck ran great for 2 days. Then went to start on the 3rd day, and would not start. The engine is getting fuel. I took off the valve that looks like a tire inflator that has a pin in it. Plenty of gas is coming to the engine from the fuel pump. I have checked the wires for sparke and there is sparke.

"Plenty" of gas is not a sufficient. You need an exact pressure reading for this engine as it is very pressure sensitive.

That's nice. Lets see....I take the schrader valve out of the fuel test port to see if fuel comes out and at the same time I'll crank the engine to check for spark. Mean while the distributor and wires are right next to the port as it is spewing fuel...
