Having problem with my wife's van. No rpm gauge but it seems to be losing rpm's until you rev the motor then it runs ok. Drive it for awhile and when I stop at a stoplight sometimes is it does it again. Can it be dirty sparkplugs, alternator seems to be ok. Starts right up, battery doesn't die. All wires look ok, no opens wires everythings grounded ok. What can it be.

And you're giving advice on diagnostics to other people here? Please stop that. Have the codes read first and post the code numbers here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

When you stated it was losing RPMs, do you mean the engine is stalling out or idling extremely low? Does it ever stall out? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Do as HT suggest and get the codes pulled...... If there is any overdue tune up maintenance not done, now would be a good time to do that..... Also it wouldn't hurt to get a little brush and some throttle body cleaner & clean the throttle body real good.....Those can coke up & give you some idle problems if they are too dirty
