2000 Dodge Dakota Starting Problem Sign In

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakoka with a six cylinder motor that has 67,000 miles on it. The problem I'm having seems to be intermitent. It usually starts right up, but some times the motor just turns over and over and won't start. It's like it has no spark or gas, it just turns over. Then I'll turn the key on and put the truck in drive and then back in park and when I try to start it, it starts right up. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this problem? I'm afraid I'm going to get stuck somewhere if I don't get this problem fixed.

Any information anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Look forward to hearing from you experts out there.

Joe

1st thing you're going to need to do for us, is find out what's missing. Spark or fuel, depending on what you find out would determine the area you want to be testing.....

Get the codes pulled as well,,,,there might be a little help there...
