2000 Dodge Intrepid, Overheating Problem

I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, I have replaced the thermostat like the service manual said how, and the vehicle is still overheating. do you know an easy way to check the water pump or is it a remove and replace and hope it was the problem?

I should try to move this thread to Engine Troubles but I'll answer it first. The water pump will pump water almost without fail. It may leak, have a bad bearing but I've never seen one NOT pump. Some common reasons for overheating are: Low coolant -- find out why Plugged up radiator -- flush or replace FANS -- they must work properly Too high of a concentration of anti-freeze (pure stuff doesn't cool well) A nasty but I'll throw in head gasket problems These came to mind but there are more, T
