2000 Dodge Stratus electronic ignition problem

I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus with a 2.0L engine. My issue is on damp days I can lose ignition to the engine. While driving the engine may buck/quit like turning the key on and off. Also, my ignition timing sounds advanced (pings during acceleration). My solution when this happens is to A.) Wiggle the wires around the TCU which makes no sense to me but maybe there is a wire nearby that is bad? Or B.) Whack the TCU with a wrench (bad ground some place?). It seems to come out of it intermittently and never gives me trouble when the air is dry but always on a damp day. Everything under the hood can be dry but if it is damp out forget it....unpredictable problem. I have changed the cam sensor (crank cam sensor fault code) but not the crank sensor. Hope this is some sort of known issue and somebody can help.
