Hi ppl i hope to god for some different insight! O.K. this is a bit lengthy but want to give enough info. My impala started acting like the fuel pump was going out about 3 months ago, so i replaced the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel filter. The problem seemed to go away, then it would randomly die but as soon as i tried it would start back up again. this persisted for about a week, then the car would die as soon as put in reverse but still as soon as i tried to restart it would restart. shortly after this issue it wouldnt start. i had it towed to my mechanic's and he started it the next morning and it was acting fine. he took it on the road to go get some parts and it didnt do anything out of the norm while with him. So i picked it up from him and got about 10 mins down the road and it died. and from that point on it wouldnt restart. i then took it to a friend's shop retested the fuel pressure which was fine. the car wouldnt start would turn but not start. i decided to see if i sprayed starter fluid in the intake what would happen, it started then died. i had my friend spray as i started, and the car ran as long as he was spraying fluid in the intake. The fuel injectors all test good as does the plug wires prugs and coils. it just wont start. Please give me some suggestions as to what the hell is goin on here. thanks in advance

You need to get the specific fuel pressure and then test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just a guess, but this smacks of a crank sensor problem... Loren SW Washington
