I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 v8 360cui It sat in my yard for a little while, because of a broken tie rod. It sat for about 7 months I just put a new tie rod on 2days ago. i changed the oil and spark plugs, cap, and wires. It started right up and ran for about 5 minutes and shut off. I started it again and started running real rough and shut off again. after a few more start ups, It refused to start. so I took one of the spark plugs out to see if it was getting a spark. I noticed the plug was wet with oil. Then i checked the oil and noticed the smell of gas present in the oil. Could the piston rings be worn, or are the cylinder heads shot

charger; It sounds as if the engine is severely over-fueling. Check all of your connections, firing order, ect. Make sure the CTS is plugged in. Check all vacuum lines. If the CTS was knocked loose, the system will go rich, by default. If you have a vacuum leak, the MAP sensor will see that as 'under acceleration' and go rich. Same with the fuel pressure regulator. You may have to remove and dry all of the plugs, then start over. Once the problem is found and corrected, you should change the oil again. How was this running prior to the broken tie rod? Do you have a CEL illuminated? See if you can retrieve any stored codes and post them. Loren SW Washington
