I got my brakes and oil plus oil filter changed and since than my truck has been reving high while driving and seems be work in harder after driving on a trip for 3 hours the vehicle rpm went all the way to 5 if that's makes sense ( hence I know nothing about vehicles lol ) and started to smoke I pulled over looked under hood to see a small hose or small part on fire the mechanic also didn't use the recommended oil' I guess what I'm asking is does anyone know what could cause it to do that or if I should start it to move iI safely off the road

You should have it towed back to your mechanic. You shouldn't drive it and possibly make things worse. The only way to see what is going on is to have someone look at it. Then go from there.
