2002 Trailblazer rough idol Sign In

Vehicle: 2002 Chevy Trailblazer; 6-cylinder; 91,000 miles. Today I replaced the wiper motor on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. Prior to doing the work the vehicle idol was fine. After the finishing the work, the vehicle idol was off. Prior to the work the vehicle idoled around 1000 RPM. After the work, the vehicle idol dropped below 500 RPM. While doing the work, I disconnected the negative battery terminal. It was disconnected for about two hours. Could disconnecting the battery terminal have caused a problem for the engine tuning. Is the rough idol problem a coincidence or by disconnecting the battery did I do something to the engine electronics which is playing havoc with the engine idol/tuning? Thanks.
P.S. If the battery disconnection threw the engine electronics out of wack, is this something I can fix myself or do I need to take it to a mechanic or dealer to be repaired?

(Full disclosure...I am not technically savy or experinced in electronic engine tuning!)

Whenever the battery is disconnected the computer loses all it's "learned" adaptive memory. It has to learn the idle strategy all over. It should be fine after driving it normally for a while.
