My Lancer runs perfectly but a few months ago I went to pass a car, lost power, eased back, engine running very rough. Pulled over, switched off, restarted, engine running perfectly. A week ago, same thing happened, out on the highway, an hour into a leg of a long journey. Pulled over, switched off, restarted, running perfectly. Today, 2,500 km later, same thing, exactly. Very nonplussed

I moved your question out of the AC category. You are going to have to do some troubleshooting to find this problem and that will have to be done DURING THE FAILURE. Start out with having the codes read for a starting point. After that you may have to rig something up to monitor the fuel pressure while this happens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
