2010 Chev Traverse; While driving, Intermittently loses most of dash instrument operation like speedometer and tach goes to zero, oil pressure and fuel gauge(s) goes to zero. Charge indicator stays active, but voltage drops a bit. Chime rings, and Driver Interface Center shows "traction Control" goes to off, etc. But car will continue to run until turned off. Then cannot start car - I do not believe starter turns over. Problem is intermittent. Dealer appeared to fix issue once before, but problem is back. they claimed to "have a controller interface problem between PCM and TCM", w/bad connection. They added some di-electric grease to a connector, ? where. Anyway, same problem is back 3 months later. Supposedly, same connection is now good. 5/16/2012 Problem is back for the fourth time - Same symptoms, problem appears then maybe 15 min later all back to normal again. dealer tried an ECM last time car was in, problem gone for 4 to 5 weeks, now back again. They are going thru GM engineering support -thru a checklist re: connector checkout etc. ? has anyone ever seen such a issue?? thanks

May have to take it back to the dealer because this would be considered a comeback. All these computer modules talk to each other over a network. If the PCM isn't able to communicate with the body control or IPC, you'll get those symptoms your describing. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
