20R Engine stalling when clutch is depressed

My car is a 1979 Toyota Celica ST with a 20R engine, manual transmission. It is my daily driver, although I'm trying to sell it at the moment. Recently it has started stalling whenever I press the clutch down in order to come to a stop. This happens most often when the engine is warm, and when traveling at speeds over 40 mph, but sometimes at lower speeds. It stalls every single time I press the clutch down to stop. The rpms drop all the way and the engine shuts off. Since this is my daily driver until I sell it, I really need to know whats wrong and get it fixed ASAP.

Couple things to check: First it suggests "warm" idle is way too low to stay running. Check that if it will idle in neutral without depressing the clutch first. Second guess: Maybe moving metal parts under dash or under the hood somehow are rubbing on a wire you may look and might see it should all be fastened out of the way and not so well staying out of the way anymore? Check. Very tricky carbs to me if you can hold idle up so it stays running find anything that leak holding vacuum. Warm the choke and richer mixture is covering the leak face it so old now anything rubber or gaskets can be suspect now, T
