Can anyone out there help me understand a little more about why my 1979 Chevy C-20 3/4 ton makes this horriendous squeaking noise when I back up. Could it be the leaf springs or is it just standard for this type of truck. Please Help!!

U-joints can do this or the center support bearing to the driveshaft if they still used them in 1979. You probably need to take the driveshaft out to really test it unless you can see freeplay with the U-joints, T
