89 mercury topaz jerking Sign In

My 89 mercury topaz jerks and is slow on the road as i drive. it feels like it is a vacumm prob but i have no idea.

If the car idles well it's probably not a vacuum leak but certainly worth checking out all vacuum connections and the hosing.

While in there rule out any leaks in air cleaner and wiring connections, You will get a check engine light or code that may help if this continues, T

You may want to start by doing an exhaust backpressure test. If the converter is clogged the vehicle will not accelerate. Also check your EGR to see if it's hanging open. If these aren't the culprit, post again with more info about the car.
