93 Stealth-starts with starting fluid

hello all, My car will run for about 15 secs on starting fluid then dies. The engine is rebuilt and this is supposed to be it's first start. If i hold the gas pedel down it tries to stay on but shudders really bad . Should i continue holding the pedel down and just see what happens,or is there something else wrong with this car? fuel pumps works, gas is also in the gas rail.

Two threads with the same car is confusing this. Fuel pressure must remain in spec and be checked. You mentioned this is a newly rebuilt engine just now being fired up in other thread. There are a lot of things messed with to just R&R the thing and kinks to work out. All connections that were disturbed need to be in good shape and double checked, fixed as needed,
