If you ran engine without oil long enough to sieze it up, there is no need to try and free it up. IT'S JUNK. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

You don't "free up" motors that are seized. If it has gotten to that point, it's fried. That means metal has melted and nothing is going to change that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Ditto, if engine is locked there really isn't a need to try and unlock. At this point either rebuild or replace. If you want to make sure the person is being straight up with ya, put a socket and breaker bar on the nut at the end of the crank and dampner and see if you can crank it clockwise. To make it easier, you may want to remove the spark plugs. Which is sad, because we have several of these 4.3's in Astro's with 250 to 300k still going strong.
