97 ranger won't start back after running

Hello I have a 97 ford ranger 3.0 v6 4wd and I jump in start the vehicle drive 5 or 10 minutes run into wherever im going maybe 5 min or so I come out to start my truck it won't start after several tries then after waiting five minutes or so it will will I was told to change the crank position sensor which I did and that didn't help so now I could really use some help!! Lol any help would be appreciated
