Hi there, My truck turns over then dies!!!!! I've read some of the posts on here with similar problems. Passlock etc. here is some of background info with it. While driving my security light came on and stayed on my whole drive home last week. I noticed it a couple more times here n there but not always staying on like the 1st time. I drove to work no light was on, came out after work, wouldnt start. Thought i may be out of gas (gauge stopped working while back, reads full all the time) I went back put gas in and still the same, turned over wont start. Mechanic buddy came to try some stuff(thought it may be Mass air flow sensor) cleaned it, tried banging on gas tank etc Checked to see if gas was actually getting to motor, it was. Then all of a sudden it started for no apparent reason. Anyways it ran for almost a week with no issuses except while driving security lite came on a few times, sometimes it would stay on, others it would come on then go out further down the road???? Yesterday morning truck didnt start!!!!! came home after work and was going to try the turn key on for 10 mins to reboot the security system(like i read on here) turn key over and it started 1st try WTF?!?!?!?! tried turning it off 4-5 times and retried and it started everytime. Went to leave for work this morning and it wouldnt start again!!!! I just finished trying the !0 min key left in on postion and still nothing??? turns over but wont start......i am at a loss now???? I don't really have the money to take it to a dealer for them to look at it, but may have to borrowsome to do it i guess? Any ideas i can try 1st would be more then welcome Thanks Mike

Is the security light on or flashing when you try to start it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I*f the relearn doesn't work, then you have a hard failure in the system and you will need a factory scan tool to diagnose it. Here is the relearn. Make sure you are doing it right. PASSLOCK 10 MINUTE RELEARN AUTO LEARN Time required, approximately 10 minutes: 1. Insure that the battery is fully charged. 2. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs. 3. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the CRANK position attempting to start the vehicle. The vehicle will start and then stall. 4. Leave the ignition switch in the ON position while observing the security indicator. 5. When the security indicator turns off, which can take up to 10 minutes, turn the ignition switch off. Wait 10 seconds. 6. The BCM and the PCM will learn the new code on the next start attempt.
